Felt like the actors were just reading their very predictable lines within the context of their very predictable personas. The central character is anything but inspirational. Some scenes/affects are gimmicky, such as the sharks.

Not your typical crime drama - so much more.

Don't expect a movie about Marilyn Monroe. This is a movie that exploits a fictional book that exploits the real Monroe's life. It as if the writer and director of Blonde couldn't find a way to tell what could have been an interesting fictional story without elaborate fabrication of a real person's life. There are many quality elements to the film but they are diminished by the overall gimmick of creating make-believe from a real person's life.
