Thanks Netflix for taking this piece of Australia to the world. I know ‘these families’. I worked at Claymore NSW for three years (February 1999-November 2001) on a project to support families find solutions to solve their own cultural and social issues. Members of the community of families told their stories of unemployment, drug use, alcoholism, domestic violence and lack of opportunities for education. They shared their stories making images of how live could be and their dreams came true. The studies are now with the Australian Film and Sound Archives. Boy Swallows Universe is real and tells it as it is. Great writing and excellent acting. Thank you Trent Dalton.
