Some good dialogues,
Like
Kashmir is an industry
Wo mujhe time de nhi rha hai, use khud samay chahiye.
And, well this film has Naseeruddin Shah. He did again, what he is known all over for...
But,
there were some drawbacks.
Like,
Unnecessary. "suspense music"
Unnecessary. "constant serious-face of Manoj Bajpayee"
Unnecessary. "elaboration" of walking scenes, thinking scenes.
Unnecessary. "Comedy" with M.I. agent at the beginning of the film, about 'goli'.
Unnecessary. "Army-life" showcasing, unnecessary only because it wasn't as good as we expected from a Neeraj Pandey film. The trailer misled us.
Though this movie is quite good in terms of Indian cinema, but we, the youth these days start to compare such initiatives with their western counterparts.
Some extra acting was also there ( read, overacting) , like when the thugs, hold Anupam Kher under gunpoint.
But, as usual Naseeruddin Shah was fabulous. He is great. The way he portrayed the old man's character, made us fall in love with him all over again.
His first scene away from the hotel room where he stayed, i.e at the racecourse, was good actually, his unkept beard, confused expression, weak hands, trembling curiosity reflected the man the movie wanted us to visualise.
Hats off to Neeraj Kapoor again, and to the cast for taking up such a burning issue.
