So I want to start off on addressing some other people’s thoughts towards the game
The game DOES feel kind of clunky, which in my opinion is kinda typical of most Ubisoft games until they start slapping on a couple of updates.
I’ve been hearing people complaining on a few glitches, I personally haven’t had any,(I’m gaming on the Series X) but my wife did crash her longboat and her crew was floating around the water with their legs sticking out like they took bobbing for apples way to seriously.
I’ve heard of people complaining of the hack and slash style combat system, this I disagree with, but I think it’s up to the players preferred gaming and fighting style, to me, it plays like every other assassins creed, but with a bit more bite. They did bring “Boss Fights” back and they do seem a bit challenging, especially early on in the game when your gear is basically garbage, and I personally could not figure out for a while how to effectively dodge because those bosses do used “charged” attacks that almost one shot you.
The game is incredibly beautiful and I do think it plays very well, it still has even more potential but Ubisoft wolf have to do those updates to the game. Storyline wise, it’s absolutely phenomenal, and invigorating- like I’m talking as soon as the introduction to the game started I was hooked and played for so long I got a pounding migraine. One of my only complaints is that if you’re playing the female character, sometimes you can tell she’s a female with the voice, and other times she sounds like a 15 year old boy, which I find odd but who knows, maybe that’s how she is supposed to sound to be considered more intimidating.
All in all I think it’s a great game, it can be a bit hard but if you prefer more of the story than the difficulty I would play on the easiest one. The story to it so far has been awesome, other than some of the gameplay feeling clunky.
