Went into it with high hopes. Glad I waited til it hit my iptv service. It was just so boring and slow. First 5 min thereabouts is listening to people talk while the camera sat not moving while I stared at a broken window in a shack. I literally thought my video frozen til it moved just a bit then sat again. Follow this up playing follow the leader as the bad guy just walks and walks and walks and walks, kills someone and walks and walks and walks and walks teens tell town story , and we are walking and walking kill someone and walking and walking .... repeat for 90 minutes. that's really all this is. acting was pretty bad...in valley girl voice "there's no such thing as cancel culture duh!" gave it 2 stars for some of the kills. took away 3 stars because I don't want to watch a movie about a guy who walks through the forest.

Super slow begining...kind of watching hippy home movies. Slow middle...slow ending...just slow. Everythjng happens in the pitch dark...flashes of stuff but nothing major. They also have the worst flashlights that most of the time illuminate a perfect 2" circle of light but dont radiate light anywhere else (swear it was a circle cut out on cardboard and placed over the camera) Basic premise is stuff happens in the desert...lots of sounds...lots of screaming...lots of darkness...lots of nothing. More stuff happens ...blood ...screaming....running...worm thingees...darkness...screaming...darkness....ugh You can fast forward through almost the entire movie and get the whole premise.

So while its better than most of the sequals and remakes that have plagued us for years its still not great. The main reason to watch the entire movie was to see someone....anyone kill that smug eden. You will have to decide how satified you were with the ending. Another problem is they never should have showed the creature...was so much better in earlier movies when it was just implied and you saw the ground move. The creature just looked stupid and very "tv movie"ish. The acting was decent for the main chars. The story was just "eh". It all seemed to happen very fast and maybe that is the fault of editing. The begining made no sense in the fact that a sheriff and town folk got away with murdering a bunch of kids because one kid killed a bunch of adults in a daycare (school?). Not sure the reasoning to kill everyone in the schoolhouse to stop one kid with a knife. If your bored and need to zone out go ahead and watch it.
