This movie was terrible and it belonged on BET or Tubi, not in theaters. The plot was predictable. Some of the acting was subpar and stereotypical. While I didn’t have an issue with the black culture references, I feel that it didn’t add anything to the film. There were a few laughs but I left the theatre disappointed because I wanted more. This movie isn’t even remotely comparable to the great black movies we had years ago. Maybe that is why I feel the way I do. Anyway some will enjoy it, unfortunately I didn’t.
