There is only one phrase that can truly sum up Spiritpact. AMAZING!!! If you like fantasy or shounen-ai/BL, this is the perfect show for you (also if you are a fan of Mo Dao Zu Shi or Beryl and Sapphire)! If you are an emotional person, definitely prepare some tissues because this show is going to make you shed some tears. The animation is beautiful and the music is extremely catchy. The way the characters are portrayed and develop through the show is such a fun process! I especially loved seeing how You Keika/Yang Jinghua developed through both seasons. I like how they slightly changed Ki and Keika's looks in season 2, even though the original will always be the first design. Personally, I think it fits the story and personalities of the characters in season 2, and it just looks a bit fresher. Spiritpact has the ability to pull its fans into the world with them and feel the character's emotions so well. It made me cry multiple times, and I'm not typically one to cry during movies or shows. Being able to relay the story and emotions to the fans is the most important aspect of telling a story, and Spiritpact is amazing at that! This is one of the few shounen-ai shows that has been able to combine a great plot with the ability to convey emotion to the watchers and not focus on solely the relationship. It not only has a great fantasy plot, but it displays such a well crafted relationship between Tanmoku Ki/Duanmu Xi and You Keika/Yang Jinghua. The only thing that frustrates me is that Ki's fiancee, but it's all good since Ki and Keika obviously care too much about each other, lol. I had always been waiting for an anime/donghua like this one, and I am so glad to have found Spiritpact!!! If I had a show of the year, Spiritpact would win the award. Thank you so much to the creators for this beautiful masterpiece, and I genuinely hope for a season 3 from the bottom of my heart!
