Even though Boycott Bollywood was trending up to the release of LSC, I did not pay much attention to the trending topic. I know that Twitter is not a representative of all of India. Trolls are faceless, spineless people who try to influence anyone and everyone.
Anyway, let's start with the review, I liked the performance of Aamir khan in this movie, he acted well, maybe for some people it wud not resonate, but having watched Forrest Gump and this I can say that Aamir khan's performance was definitely up to the mark if not at par with Tom Hanks's. The film is a little longer but with a tight screenplay, it did not feel very long. It's a great film which touches upon compassion, love and non-judgment. The film also deals with the rehabilitation of a terrorist and how one becomes. I won't say much about this, as I would like to believe that many here will go and watch the film, so for them, I don't want to be a spoiler. But I will mention here I was surprised to see Kamini Kaushalji on the screen after so many years. I am happy that she is hale & hearty. One of the other performances I like was by Kareena Kapoor. After Heroine, I can say this one touches the heart, she bared all for this movie, her vulnerabilities, her cynicism all can be seen on her face, which is commendable, the last time I can see the above adjectives on her face was in Heroine. I am not sure how this film will be treated in the coming days, but I am sure after some time this movie will get its well-deserved shine, maybe once it releases on a major OTT platform.
