I’m only 3 episodes in and I’m already pretty disappointed. This is not like the book. My main disappointments: 1. the characters personalities differ greatly. So far, the characters seem very different from those in the book which is frustrating. 2. Additionally, the book has an element of humor and lightheartedness which are lost in the show and instead the show is far darker. 3. It’s one thing to eliminate certain events from the story, but the show actually twists the events. Things happen in far different ways. 4. The show loses some of the mystery that is in the book. The show itself is alright I’d say. I will probably keep watching it for now, but I’m already disappointed that it has veered away from the book’s storyline.
