Re the Lobster battle in NS. These girls are all too young to know how the Federal gvt made decisions in the 90’s that devastated the fisheries. Google it. It was regarding cod. It cost the fisherman/ province thousands of jobs. I’m pretty sure that is Why they are being protective of the lobster stocks NS Is very reliant on the fishing industry. Or you can think of it in an environmental way. Don’t deplete a species to the point where it is in jeopardy. Why can’t the Micmaq fish during the regular season ? Why now? Aren’t the lobsters reproducing now ?
