Never expected Bollywood to really start talking about the real issues, instead of the beat up, idiotic, boring story lines that they’ve been using since the beginning of time.
The actors have done a good job, however, it could’ve gone a little better. Vaani kapoor came off as a surprise & honestly, i was skeptical about her acting skills at first, but she did a good job. You can tell from the trailer that this is not Ayushman’s best work. Music was unbearable and unnecessarily confusing, as in, i couldnt tell if they were actually dedicated to the storyline or the same ol’ quintessential bollywood Rnb/bollywood-punjabi wannabe.
The plot was good and thought provoking. At the end of the movie, i can guarantee that you’ll ask the same question to yourself, what would’ve you done, had you been in Mannu (Ayushman) or Maanvi (Vaani’s) shoes?
The comedy wasn’t exactly on point, and the film struggled to form a side character’s adequate character building.
Overall, its a one-time watch. That being said, the one time you’ll watch it, you’ll enjoy it.
