If I’d read this as my first Lee Child book, I probably wouldn’t have read another.
A completely over the top read, Jack Reacher has always been a bit of an unbelievable character, but this takes him to a new level of bravado and heroics. Gratuitous would be too light a word to use to describe the killing ... more like a Rambo 17 novel.
