Do not waste your time on such a poor film. The acting is quite embarrassing especially Nicole Kidman. The over acting by Joey King is painful. The script is pathetic and hackneyed and we have the added Christmas element thrown in. Kathy Bates gets to say some so called wise things.

Very tedious story with Nicole Kidman doing her usual sombrero acting mode among other wealthy but uninteresting characters . The plot is very slow to get going and becomes predictable. Not worth the time to pursue

Brilliant film, great screenplay and well acted by Gene Hackman in perhaps his best performance. The tension builds and each scene adds to the story

Despite its interesting cinematography and visuals Saltburn is a shallow film about a shallow manipulative character. Barry Keoghan is much too old for the role and often mumbles. If the intention of the director/writer is to expose the wealth and manners of the upper class it doesn’t work. Anyway it has been done well before. The film was too long and didn’t know how to end resulting in a gratuitous finale.

Despite the big stars and a huge expense on CGs this is a very disappointing Christmas movie. It’s far too long with a messy plot and subplots. It tries to be funny but is laborious, borrows from other films and at times too preachy. There is little to recommend and one can only conclude that the Christmas movie idea has run out of steam.

Frustrating film with good acting at times and a good script at times. The wife in this film largely about a struggling marriage is difficult to take and the character can be quite annoying. Some scenes were unnecessary such as in regard to the couple’s intimacy.

Despite a very impressive performance from Helen Mirren the script is quite weak and limited and the film at times comes across as a stage play. Apart from Golda Meir’s assistant the other characters are given little to do or present their views . The cigarette smoking is completely overdone. The film presents a confusing account of the Yom Kippur war and in fact the film lacks appropriate production values. The scene at the end of the film with the actual footage of Golda Meir is more revealing.

Poorly made series. The police processes don’t ring true. The focus on the main character and her circumstances is often at odds with the flow of the police work. The series is over written and should not take 8 episodes per series. The head of the police station lacks sufficient conviction. The camera work also gives the story away at times.

Reasonably presentation of this epic battle with a range of characters depicting the futility of war. Graphic coverage and is current today as it was when made during the Vietnam war period. The film is quite underrated . The cinematography is superb.

Interesting film with some good acting. The courtroom scenes were over done but presumably aimed at being hilarious with no basis to a contract law case. Some scenes were unnecessary such as James Fox’s wife character. Tommy Lee Jones is always worth watching.
