---NO SPOILER REVIEW ---
Here are my review classification which is easier to go through
Controls :- The movements are freaking butter, it is harder to find 2D games that have fluid game movement basically smooth butter, aiming can be a bit hard but with enough practice you can nail that aiming skills
Exploration :- One of the best games to have a great exploration like most 2D games focus on progress through going to next area but in metroid dread there are lots of areas that are blocked by blocks that require items that are obtained in the future so that you can break them, there are teleported that are well placed so that you dont have to run all the way to explore previous areas, items are scattered around the area and invisible walls are viewable in map as blinking areas
ability :- ability are the best like first you will feel vulnerable but after getting ability the more your confidence builds and the ability allows you to progress by able to break blocks that you werent able to before
combat :- one of the great 2D shooting combat you ever gonna experience and the way they build is astounding, parrying is balanced perfectly and boss fights dificulty is just hits the marks like its not too easy nor too hard all boss can be defeated by understanding the sequence. parrying the boss at the right timing are reward with great bonus damage
EMMI :- yes EMMI, the main attraction of the game and they nailed it perfectly as EMMI are quite scary and instead of EMMI being in the one section boss they offer you ability that are used to get to progress, EMMI cannot be destroyed by attacking nor parrying instead you need to obtain a special power to destroy them, parrying EMMI are bad as when EMMI catches you they have 4 animations with different parry timing and low parry
