Remnant: FTA is a love letter to all of my favorite games. While it shares similarities with games like dark souls, dead space, fallout, and left 4 dead it basically took all of the best qualities of those games, and made their own systems with them in mind. I got the game for free through the epic games store event and I put 10+ hours into it in 3 days. The story seems short but replayability is GREAT with procedurally generated levels and chance boss encounters. Multiplayer feels fresh and powerful, while solo plays more like dead space and rewards careful exploration and learning enemy movesets and mechanics. I would highly recommend this to any fans of the aforementioned games. 4 stars because I have encountered a few bugs that made playing less immersive, but not necessarily game breaking. Bugs I've encountered: My character sometimes gets stuck on geometry and it takes a minute of fiddling around with crouching and rolling to get out (fire hydrant in the 1st area) (On the medical cot in one of the rooms in ward 13 level b2/3) Stairs at the portal hub that form when you walk on them killed me twice in an MP session, just walking over them Entering a cutscenes area before the host did killed my character
