The photography is great, some acting of the main female character is good. But other than that it lacks plot. It relies on shock value. Showing you gore out of the blue. Story coulda been way better
Spoiler:
At no point there was more mention of the suicide of the sister, no relationship with the rest of the film..when it looked as if it was something important..once the group is in Sweden all this vanishes and loses all significance except for thinking that she's vulnerable to cults because of this, perhaps.
The explicit gore is not necessary.. woulda been better to leave it to the imagination..has more class and more scary this way.
Overall I just felt a sense of non sense and lack of plot.. and disgusted a bit cause the viewer is forced to watch these special effects gore throughout the movie..
Felt rather tasteless..
If for cinematography and color and photography it's good. But in this case I rather watch some Kubrick.. with both: photography AND a plot.
As for horror movie this ain't Better than Hostel
Also lacking plot and relying on shock gore.
