I guess it is probably a good way to get teens interested in a historical figure. However, as a 54 year old adult, I couldn’t get past the anti-historical music nor language. “I was really psyched about it” spoken by Emily’s brother. I’m not even sure that “psyched” was used when I was a teenager. But, certainly not in the 1800s. Portray life and music as it was then. The movie Little Women was very successful and portrayed life as it was in the late 1800s. The movie Titanic had young Rose “flipping the bird” at someone. That gesture was not commonly used in the early 1900s by anyone much less by young women. That movie lost me for that and other reasons.
It’s fine to make movies or series’ like this, but please do not attach real historical figures to them. They are not accurate.
