Let’s not take this too seriously, hmm? The film is totally enjoyable, the central conceit is fun, the acting and direction never flag, and the music is, of course, great. As someone who spent time in a Beatles tribute show, and whose own band looked to them for the musical roadmap, I liked it a lot.
