Beautiful costumes and sets, but a terrible script that takes all the poetry, subtlety and beauty out of Austen's original. This version is loaded with embarrassing cliché, obvious romantic tropes, and adds dumb and unnecessary narration. Do yourself a favour and look up one of two excellent older versions that amplify the gorgeously written original: a 1995 version with Amanda Root and Ciarán Hinds, or the 2007 version with Sally Hawkins and Rupert Penry-Jones.
