Lindsey Ladnier

A mid-level Disney piece on par with Treasure Planet. Not bad but not particularly good. Too heavy on the classic tropes, so parents pretty much know what is going to happen before the movie ends. The setting is sci-fi and not really fleshed out enough because they immediately drop you into a different sci-fi setting. The characters are really well crafted though; you can see strong generational boundaries between the grandpa, the father, and the son. The mom is also great- she fills a niche Disney has been sorely missing with her quips and her healthy balance between family and work.
