About this film being written according to the Bible. It depends if you include the book of Enoch in the Bible or not.
But it clearly implies to be based on the book of Enoch , and as such it takes some significant liberties, while describing some characters. Otherwise it is an ok film, much better than most trash being served to us every year.
It is like the "300" or "The rings of power". It claims to describe some history (actual or fictional) but it distances itself so much from the canonical narrative , it ends up being a work of fiction , no matter if what it claims to describe is actual history or not.
Of course if it was a slight modification of the book of Enoch it could not be played in a wide audience , because it would cause much fuss
both because it should display scenes appropriate only for an adult audience,
but also because it would be a slap in the face for most Abrahamic religions , including judaism, christianity and islam.
PS. To the viewers that follow the modern fashion of standing their ground for the rights of the black people , and so expecting a black Adam and Eve, I only have to say please...
Will you consume all your fire protecting human rights demanding from a film to be portrayed according to your modern beliefs, while describing an ancient history? Ridiculous. That is equivalent to modern feminists "tearing their clothes" in despair for the rights of the women in developed countries , while comfortably being silent for some women in some other parts of the world being convicted in courts of "law" because they were raped.
This film describes an ancient history and already taking such liberties that is a fiction of another fiction. Should it take some more liberties to quiesce the sensitivities of all cults and philosophies ? I don't think so .
