Poor remake of the original. The modern day approach of using an over bearing, over loud musical soundtrack to depict ‘suspense’ or ‘tension’ in a scene, rather than direction and acting to portray the same, is frustrating and lacks skill and imagination.

Excellent film, I really don’t understand these reviews. In the mold of my big fat Greek wedding. Very entertaining

Ok for the first half, then the plot becomes ridiculous and predictable towards the end. Watch if there is absolutely nothing better you can find.

Close to the worse Marvel film so far if not the worst

What the heck was Idris Elba doing in this utter nonsense. Terrible acting by cast, awful script, unrealistic situations. At the end the Lion attacks Elba and much have forgotten its dentures and had its claws removed as it doesn’t seem to be able to do much damage to Elba. In fact he shrugs it off like a 2 lb rag doll a couple of times. Biggest load of utter rubbish we have watched in a very long time.

Disappointed with this after all the hype I heard. Very repetitive (we get it, wife dead, you’re unhappy). The flashbacks to him and his wife are ridiculous and don’t come across as natural. Basically mostly him performing childish pranks on her and her laughing uncontrollably at them. Her character comes across as a rewrite of the Catherine Tate character ‘you ain’t gonna believe this, it’s hilarious’. You could just watch episode 1 and 6 of each series and pretty much have a good idea of the whole season. Nowhere near as good as Extras.

Watched 10 minutes so far and they may have finally ruined Doctor who. The new Doctor is a good actor, but within 10 minutes it has portrayed as Gay, his future companion of course has a trans best friend, and of course they have already cast the first black Doctor. Putting him in a kilt (basically a skirt) was obviously deliberate. Absolutely ok with the casting of a black Doctor Who, nothing wrong with gay or trans characters. But to pack them all in just to ‘tick all the right boxes’ from the start is getting tiresome and lacked any subtlety whatsoever. Hopefully it will get better, but very unimpressed so far.

Possibly one of the worst movies that I have ever seen. After the Flash this was a huge disappointment. Terrible acting, no charismas in most characters, ridiculous dialog and ‘forced’ comic moment. Don’t waste your time.

I almost didn’t bother giving this a chance and watched the first 30 mins thinking, ‘this is going to interest kids but nobody else’. I was so wrong. The acting is superb and the star so engaging. The supporting cast are also excellent and the pace is just right. Really enjoyed the first 4 episodes and can’t wait to watch the last 2. I’m a 64 year old white guy by the way!
