Underrated. A smaller budget for a big production which I quite enjoyed because It wasnt obnoxiously over glorified, with the main character getting in to some really tough situations, realistic fight scenes, brutal backstabbing and morales of medieval times. They didnt hold back!!
Story line I found very easy to follow. I'm not sure why people find this difficult but maybe it's because I watced it with subtitles.
Michael Caine was unnecessarily cast, I think he was mainly to draw more attention to the film with his name.
Costume, hair and make up were all good. There wasn't any sexy blood on actors faces when they were hurt with big fake, white veneers. I hate this detail in any historical film.
Definitely worth a watch if you like a bit of history and realism, without the over dramatics of major Hollywood blockbusters.
