This game does what Dark Souls 2 did to the fans of the DS series. Meaning the devs tried to make something challenging, but screwed up and made a really cool looking game, that begins to seem way less cooler because of how grueling the difficulty is. The first 2 hours of the game you're really taken back by how smooth and intense the whole hand to hand combat is (Though it's not perfect and could use a bit more polish) in the game. It seems to scratch that beat'em up itch. But then...you see that it's just a grueling half-baked beat'em up, that does way more punishing the players for playing, than rewarding. With that being said, the game doesn't give you much of a reason to keep playing it.
My biggest issue with any game like this, is that Devs need to have their mechanics well tuned to perfection, if they're going to go full "try hard" with the difficulty. Don't make it difficult AND your mechanics are buggy or don't work half the time. Unfortunately I can't get a refund, cause I'm just over the 2 hour mark. BUT luckily they are releasing a patch to adjust the difficulty to HARDER😒 AND EASIER😆settings.
