Is it a bad? No. Is it great? Definitely not. It's an unremarkable 'see it once and forget it' type of film that feels like it was heavily inspired by MCU type of factory assembly line production. I would give it a 2 1/2 stars if I could. It's filled with predictable writing and forgettable, non descript characters that are more character stereotypes than actual people, complete with snarky, quippy banter for dialog. You don't know who any of these characters are at the start, which is perfectly fine, but by the end of the movie you still don't really know who most of them are and probably don't really care to know either. Chris Pine's performance was the only thing resembling a character portrayal. However, I could easily imagine the rest on a lifeless CW production or the like. If you like heavy CGI movies, it was well made in that regard. Watch it if a friend has it or plans on renting it but save your money otherwise.
