Just came back from the cinema and I am simply sad. Like many people, I had high hopes which ware destroyed by really bad acting , political corrctness ( especially the choice of the leading roles) and by the absolutely stupid , uncessesary and infantile scenes . We are watching 1986 Aliens right now back home and despite of its "age" that movie and actors are simply brilliant , the suspense , the alien itself and story is intriguing and still very very pleasing , scary , interesting. After the romulus screening the millennials and gen z left the cinema straight away and we just sat back quietly with people from our gen who ware stunned by disbelief and disappointment of how bad , predictable and hacke beyond the movie was. There was a few ideas which could have saved this picture but they where butchered by poor acting and unbelievably bad cast . Any person who watched aliens remembers Bishop, still enjoy vasquez not mentioning brilliant segurney - this time the romulus cast was focused mainly on instastories or self promotion instead of honoring the saga and they completely blew the chance to add to the alien universeum instead settled for the "paid for" reviews . Like I mentioned already - the movie left us sad and disappointed, just like many other people who decided to give the film a chance and was mislead by promises never delivered . Suprised how bad and juvenile it is , inconsistent and just poor. Another example how easy it is to still make money on nostalgia but I think that one went too far and it will be a very long time before we decide to give a chance to the movie or project similar to what we have experienced. Meanwhile we strongly suggest to buy original movies and enjoy them as there is no hope that we will get anything remotely close to the 80s or 90s unique productions as any new movies are made for the people with the attention span of the toddler and iq of the watermelon:(
