I kept hoping for it to redeem itself but it never got there. It starts with a very interesting premise (siblings each finding out their death date from a fortune teller and the subsequent stories of their lives). But these unlikable and unrealistic characters keep making absurd decisions. It feels like the story is reaching for some kind of meaning but never realizes it. Honestly, quite a depressing read for me. Wish I could get back the time I spent on it.

A very helpful, informative and well-researched book. Jeremy Runnells puts forth honest, legitimate questions. His concerns about a number of issues within the Mormon (LDS) church are significant and cannot be overlooked. This book helped me navigate my faith crisis and reinforced to me what I had wrestled with for a long time, but ultimately realized was true: the Mormon church is not what it claims to be and it's founder is not who they portray him to be. If you are questioning the authenticity of the Mormon church and it's truth claims, this book is a must-read.
