I tried to like this film, but was unsucessful. Filled with gratuitous violence and lacking substantial plot, I was hard-pressed to even give it one star.

Didn't like it at all. Rough-hewn story line and direction. Boring and crude.

Boiler plate movie that lacks anything interesting.

If you want to cry, then this film is recommended. It is profound, and profoundly tragic. How Dicaprio didn't get an Oscar for his work here is completely beyond me. Everyone in the cast is superb, and DiCaprio is magnificent.

Great direction and acting, and an interesting story with nice twists.
