I still like it somehow. The storylines aren't as fleshed out as other Bethesda games, there are a lot of quests that leaves you hanging. Flying around in the ship is horrible, I don't know how they thought that many loading screens and menus for the ship was okay. Don't even get me started on how bad the ship on ship combat is, so much so that I avoid it at all costs. I know the intent was to make everyone "good" in a sense, but it just made the game bland. I travel around with Vasco, since the robot seems to have more personality than the rest of the companions. This game has the same problem as No Man's Sky, where every planet is basically the same. Doing the same thing for every temple to get a new power actually feels like a chore.
This game lacks the things that made Fallout and Skyrim timeless masterpieces even with the overwhelming amount of bugs that they also had. Different experiences every time you start up a new game, choices in the story that actually changes how the story goes. Starfield doesn't have any of that. The base building is nice as always and the ship building is too. The character creation is solid, but it's not something to write home about. The combat can be challenging at times which I like and there's a lot of cool weapons/armor that you can get. The graphics are nice to look at and the space concept is always a good one. I just really think a few highly detailed planets wouldn't been better than all these half-baked ones. Starfield has very little of the charm that Bethesda games usually have. I know I'll still play it a lot but I'll be waiting (impatiently) for the next Fallout or Elder Scrolls. I don't recommend this game unless you're used to Bethesda and their antics. Get it on sale, if anything.
