I have recorded the entire 1st season on my dvr and I watch them over and over. Please pass it on to Suranne and Sophie they’re both are incredible actors. Especially, the last episode standing on the cliff and by the coal pit shaft, I would absolutely 💯 believed you were in true love! I’m a 53 yo lesbian from Oklahoma, the Bible Belt of the US. I can relate to Ms. Lister in such a profound way due to the fact that we’re slightly behind the curve on acceptance. All I can say, Suranne has done an outstanding job in her remarkable likeness of what I would imagined Ms. Lister would have dressed, had the personality of and just the right amount of masculinity and feminism that I see as the correct way a lesbian of that era would be and act. Seeing how this was at the beginning of the 19th century; Suranne is just frkn spot on with her portrayal of Ms. Lister! Sophie, your portrayal of Ms Walker is nothing short of amazing. The phases of emotional states of whatever crisis Ms. Walker was going through at that moment, your performance was absolutely magnificent! Gemma, I love you as well and your performance is perfectly done as a jealous younger sister that is begging for attention! The whole cast is just unbelievably great! The series as a whole is magnificently done! Thank you and I hope you all win all kinds of awards.
