I GENUINELY enjoyed it!!!! They casted the movie really well despite people's reservations, Jack Black had good cadence for clap trap, and Kevin Heart was a perfect choice for Roland both as a short king and as a genuine good hearted guy with a military background. (However I am really sad that Krieg and Tina got really over shadowed and their characters were both really dumbed down) The casting for Lilith was so good!!! She was so pretty!! And actually made me like Lilith! (I hate her in the games) The set dressing and props to die for!!! The CGI and animation, TOP NOTCH! The story... Was alright... (Kinda) It honestly wasn't terrible, it did follow the games just not religiously. It really reminds me of the fnaf movie and how it's written and portrayed. (Take that as u will) Favorite part of the lore is Lilith is still a Mary sue in the movie, just like the games. I've no idea why everyone was so mad about the lore accurate castings of the characters like moxie is in her 40s, and people were mad that they casted an actor who was the right age. She is gorgeous, she plays her really well, she doesn't have the southern Belle accent, but that's okay! I love that Atlas was the villains because Hyperion wasn't even docked at Pandora when the movie takes place. Although I do hate how the bbeg is just diet Handsome Jack but I'm not broken up about that because Borderlands has always had a theme of blood and found family. I just wish it wasn't Jack and Angel part 2. I love that the older set dressing has the Dual Cooperation stuff all over it!!! Wonderful story telling. Best parts to me were that lilith's gun scope was genuinely from the games and so were almost all of krieg's voice lines. (Do wish we got a bit of sane Krieg) And the blood shot chase scene was perfect gave off the same vibes as the game!!!! Music choice was great! Acting/ Choreography was great! Climax was bad. If you liked the fnaf movie you will like the Borderlands Movie! Recommend to go see it, even if you are a fan of the games or not. TLDR, Good movie, well casted but some characters needed more screen time. Definitely a cheesey movie but in my opinion the set design, props, animation, CGI, acting, blocking, choreograpy, and Easter eggs make it for a fun watch for any fan.
