This 2 stars are for costumes and battle scenes. Otherwise there would be an absolute 0. Major, major disappointment. It’s worth to see it just to learn how to make one of the most interesting periods in European history looking like nothing was happening there. Also the 1812 campaign and retreat from Russia is almost omitted. And there’s no real human in R.S Napoleon. Just a some weirdo who’s driven by passion for his wife and all of the politics/ wars/ campaigns had no impact on him whatsoever, more than that it was some sort of a not important background not worth mentioning in the movie. Big shame as there’s a chance that a proper movie about Napoleon will not be made for another few decades. Such a waste….
