The serial Punyasloka Ahilyabai is liked for its historic background and very good performance of actors in their respective roles but the writer and director seem to have distorted the story by importing several unnecessary characters like Gunoji, Dhanaji and their conspiracy hatched by their evil coalition with the second queen of Malhar Rao Holkar named Dwarka bai. This may be ok but the writer director should have planned to make the serial worth seeing by showing consequences of each conspiracy masterminded by three villains, viz, Dwarka Bai, Gunoji and Dhanji. Everytime these crooks go unnoticed and not being exposed. This makes the serial allergic to view. again it is not seen in history that Ahilyabai initiated a move to reform the society as rehards widow marriage which was done by many other great personalities of India like Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar and some others. If ithis concept is inserted in the serial to make it spicy in that case, Ahilyabai's role should have been packed with the adequate knowledge of Shastras mostly Vedas to argue with the socalled Pundits who are bubbling with self esteem, ego and trying to spread runours among illiterate mass. Another sad thing is that none openly support Ahilyabai in her novel move. For that matter the court room should be made exciting with the invincible arguments and logics of Ahilya before which all egoistic Acharyas had to bow down and come forward for conciliation. Besides there are many other flaws like why the conspiracy of Gunoji to kill Khande Rao and slow poison hin at Gurukul are not exposed? Why Ahilyabai is put at the receiving end always where Dwarka Bai always attacks her for her selfish end? Why Gautama Bai is shown as a puppet in the hands of Dwarka Bai? So on without any logical end.
