Many of you I’m afraid lost the point of this movie. It’s not about stardom, fighting fame or even success. It’s about an artist fighting for his life at times and the highs and lows of depression. I’ve lived with it for all of my life and as an artist as well. Sometimes getting it out is the only answer. Right or wrong you have to get it out. I cried through out the movie because I saw the pain and fear in the face of Bruce, played magically by Jeremy I must say. He fought for what he had to in that moment. Yes he had success before this and enormous success after but during this moment in time he was struggling and the movie portrayed that beautifully. If you were looking for a monster Born in the USA man or movie maybe you shouldn’t have gone. That’s not at all what this is about. I felt every word, every image, everything. The Nebraska album has always been close to my heart and soul as it got me thru some extremely rough times. I am forever grateful for the music that came from a very dark place but with beauty, grace and integrity.
