Incredibly disappointed: ruined a beautiful story and the kids came away agitated and moody. This was my favourite book for my kids, and i've bought it for everyone having a baby since. The animations were just weird, not pleasant or enjoyable, and the cinematography dark and uninteresting. Dull day beach scenes in Victoria- yuck! My imagination of the story was so much better than this movie. I would not bother taking your kids to see it. I actually couldn't wait for it to finish. It was boring, dark, and not remotely enjoyable or 'feel good'. It was all politically correct with the asian kid, the dark kid, the fat kid, deaf kid, and even one wearing a face mask!!! Really! so many subliminal messages- just made me agitated. I took my 6 and 4 year old grandchildren, and it did not retain their attention.
