"Leave the World Behind" is a new take on the end of the world as we know it. Its not unreasonable to think the premise of this Netflix original could realistically happen. In such a crisis the deverstation would far exceed the horror of any previous act of terrorism. This thought provoking movie sends a message of "Clear and Present Danger" for those who choose to hear the call. Preparedness for a possible calamity is the only answer. Here I'm reminded of a quote from Patrick Henry (1799) "United we stand, divided we fall." "Leave the World Behind" is unsettling begging the question, do we stand united or divided? Cast includes Julia Robert's, Ethan Hawke, and Kevin Bacon.
