This movie was good at doing a whole lot of nothing. Anytime it seemed like something exciting or interesting was about to happen, it would shift gears, and nothing would come of it. Too many different ideas were introduced too, but none were given enough time to be properly developed or explained which, you get the gist of what is being shown of course, but it felt like there was no substance to it. Like no solid plot was holding the movie together—like the writers threw all their ideas on paper and just put them in the film. It’s also supposed to be a horror-comedy, yet nothing was all that funny except maybe the budget of this film and how much it ended up making. It was also far longer than it needed to be. The only good thing about this movie, in my opinion, was the acting. Robert Pattinson once again proves how talented and eclectic he is as an actor. Naomi Ackie was amazing as well and ended up being my favorite part of the movie. I do like Mark Ruffalo as an actor, however his desperate attempt at portraying an Elon Musk/Donald Trump-type character just didn’t work. It felt like satire—which, come to think of it, it was I suppose?

I give this 3 stars bc went in for fun and that's exactly what I got! I didn't go into this movie with high expectations, anticipating top-tier action or James Cameron level effects, so I was pleased with what I got. If you go into this movie thinking it'll be some high-quality, edge of your seat, mind twisting thriller, you'll definitely be disappointed. But, if you lower your expectations to something resembling a fun, cheesy B-grade 80s horror flick, then you'll enjoy it for what it is. I do think the story has some potential though. If the script were given to the right director with the proper vision and budget - I think there might be something good there. But for now, I'll settle for Frank Grillo kicking the crap out of some oversized dudes in mediocre werewolf costumes,

Beautifully dark and absolutely perfect. I’m noticing a lot of negative feedback surrounding this movie and claims that it‘s too violent and glamorizes gun crime which, to be honest I just can’t disagree enough. What this this movie does is show an in depth view on how we, as a nation, should take mental illness more serious and get those that struggle with it the proper treatment they deserve. Also, it shows how some of the people being portrayed as lunatics or crazy in the media/news are sometimes pushed to that point, especially if they already deal with said mental illness, poor living conditions, get treated like dirt daily by society amongst w/e else they’re dealing with that the average person not struggling with a mental illness may be able to handle differently. We are in fact human and we all have a breaking point. And please don’t take me wrong or assume I’m pro violence and gun crime, or I’m making excuses for those that do horrendous crimes like go on murder sprees, bc I absolutely am not and do not condone that AT ALL! I just feel after having saw this movie, the message it’s trying to send is much deeper than trying to be dark and violent just for the sake of being, well, dark and violent. It’s trying to say something- to send a message, and if people actually listened instead of being so quick to find reasons to get offended, they’d actually grasp and understand the point this movie is trying to get across which, I believe it’s something along the lines of how we as a nation and as human beings, consistently ignore 🚩 and problems we see from those in desperate need of help often times until it’s just way too late.

**Spoiler** I really enjoyed this movie. The acting was top noth, the editing, directing and cinematography were all excellent and the story was pretty awesome. Just a very well made horror movie overall, my only issue was the ending. The build up to what was going on in the movie and what was happening to each friend was suspenseful and really gave you that anticipation feeling you feel when movies make you anxious - which is a good thing! But I just feel the ending kind of fell flat. I thought it was going to be some kind of Blair Witch type of witchcraft especially with how they would hallucinate whenever the creature was near, or how they woke up in the cabin scared and confused. The fact that it was a"demonic ancient God" that some forest cult were worshiping and sacrificing people to was a little... meh. But even with that - they (the writers) could've made that out to be something so terrifying which leads to a big exciting insane ending and it just didn't happen. We saw 1 quick fight with Luke and the God and then he ran out the woods and that was it. It was just disappointing. Overall I still really liked this movie and told some friends to check it out. I love movies that focus a lot on character development which this film did an excellent job. I rated this 4 stars here on Google bc I really want this film to get some recognition and I don't think this rating is too far off but I'd say it's more of a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Definitely worth a watch though in my opinion. I'd absolutely watch more movies from this director.

Amazing. I was hooked within the first 5 minutes of episode 1. Highly recommend it!
