After watching The Perfect Neighbor, I felt deep sadness for both women. It’s heartbreaking to see how loneliness, fear, and lack of communication turned neighbors into enemies.
I honestly felt some sympathy for Susan. She seemed very alone, emotionally distressed, and misunderstood by the people around her. Maybe if someone in her neighborhood had reached out with kindness, or just checked in on her, things could have been different. Sometimes people who feel unloved lose their sense of calm and act from fear instead of reason.
At the same time, I also feel for Ajike and her family. She was strong and confident., a mother just trying to protect her kids. But I wish there had been better communication between everyone. The children shouldn’t have been caught in the middle, and the adults could have helped by teaching respect and understanding on both sides.
I think what hurt me most is how everyone stopped trying to listen. Instead of empathy, there was anger, labels, and silence. If just one person had stepped in to mediate to remind them all that they were still neighbors, still humans., maybe this tragedy wouldn’t have happened.
In the end, both women lost everything, and that’s what breaks my heart most. This story reminds me how important it is to reach out to people before they reach their breaking point.
