Greg Sandoval

The film is a masterpiece. I know that sounds funny about a vampire, fantasy film, but the story is really about culture and family and music and overcoming trauma. Michael B Jordan and Ryan Coogler are both great artists. Jack O’Connel is so threatening and malevolent as the lead vampire but also shows off superb dancing and singing skills. Another big surprise for me was how beautiful the film looked. Before seeing Sinners, I wasn’t familiar with Coogler’s work. I’m now a huge fan!
