Owen Hopkins

The characters and performances are good, but the storyline relies too much on traditional tropes of that period. For someone who grew up in the area at that times it feels relentlessly bleak and I Just found the whole IRA story line contrived and absurd. If true, Special Branch must have been completely inept. I get it’s a drama but you can’t claim to represent an authentic portrayal of the West Midlands in the 80’s and then create unbelievable storylines.
