If you like movies of ideas rather than Wham Ban shoot 'em ups, then this is for you. It is a delightful gentle sci fi (almost sci fact) movie. Proper science rather than daft faster than light rockets. It confronts the audience with the nihilistic dilemma we all face - are we alone? The director should be very proud of the movie. Tedious twaddle. What could have been a dramatic recreation of tragic events has been turned into a ludicrous melodrama complete with a very silly monster bear. Some great actors vainly attempt to give the mess credibility but they fail.
