This movie is a fail, too long, far too long, you can cut 30min at least if not more. The trinity test is a teenagers fireworks party, no rendering. I didn't perceive the complexity of the Manhattan project if you consider that the russians only made it 4 years later. This endless McCarthyist trial part in the second part of the movie is just too much, thank you Nolan but we know our history no need to bore us at this point. The end phase of the movie with Oppenheimer aging make-up is laughable, so badly done. Second star is just for Cillian Murphy's interpretation and Downey Jr's energy. In addition this constant coming and going in time is too much even though this is Nolan's signature, it brought me out of the biopic in this case, it's a miss and by far, what a disappointment. Something so much better could have been done but well I guess Nolan got "carte blanche" and here we are...
