EMERGENCY- HINDI MOVIE Ravindra Babhulay  Seen 140 minutes long hindi movie, a biopic on the life of former prime Minister  Mrs Indira Gandhi. This movie had generated a lot of controversy for the sole reason that it has been made by a BJP MP Kangana Ranaut. The pro-congress people assumed that it will distort the image of the former PM. It is to the credit of Kangana that she has kept her impressions / prejudice aside and made the film totally true to the fact. She has neither shown Mrs Gandhi as devil nor  a Goddess. She has shown Mrs Gandhi as a HUMAN BEING.  The entire length of the movie is fast paced and there is not a single moment of boredom. Kangana in the role of Mrs Gandhi is superb, incredible, unbelievable.  I am at loss to add any more adjectives. A genuine competition should result in all the prestigious acting awards in her bag this year. Must see movie for people interested in the political history of our country.  Irrespective of your political inclination,  you will enjoy the movie and come out as an enlightened person

SWATANTRYAVEER SAVARKAR Ravindra Babhulay Seen 178minutes long hindi movie, a biopic of Veer Savarakar. During our school days we have learnt history written in our text books which were written by the historians loyal to the then government. Since, most of us are not students of History, we remained ignorant of other aspects of history which were intentionally /unintentionally kept hidden. The movie starts by refuting the claim that we achieved freedom only by Non-violence. Armed freedom fighters have also sacrificed their life for the freedom. Their contribution , however, did not find any mention in the text books of history so as to glorify only the non-violent movement and the leaders associated with the movement. Veer Savarkar not only sacrificed his career but has undergone ruthless torture during his jail term. He was sentenced to TWO life terms of 50 years. He underwent about 11 years of rigorous prison term. He realised that staying in the jail will not serve his dream of achieving freedom so as a strategy, he sought his relief from jail from the authorities. Mahatma Gandhi was much junior to him. However, during Savarkar’s jail term he became the main figure of freedom movement. Mahatma Gandhi sought Savrakar’s relief as a mercy to him. Even after undergoing 11 years rigorous jail term, even today, some naive politicians degrade Savarkar’s contribution so that Savarkar does not become cult figure which he truly deserves to be. The then government falsely tried to implicate him in the Gandhi’s murder. Even after Savarkar’s death the then government tried in vain to destroy his image by implicating him again in Gandhi murder although he was acquitted earlier of this accusation. The movie is dramatic version of all these events. The fact remains that to glorify themselves, some individuals undermined the contribution of people whose names would have appeared on the top. Truly this nation did not deserve the great sacrifice of Veer Savarkar.

THE KERALA STORY Seen 125minutes long most talked about controversial hindi movie ‘ The Kerala Story’. The controversy surrounding this movie naturally raised curiosity regarding the contents of the movie. Some of the citizens even knocked the doors of legal courts to stop the release of the movie under the pretext that this movie will vitiate the peace in the country. After hearing all sides the courts allowed the release of the movie as was planned by the Producer. The movie claims to be based on the true events in the state of Kerala. At the end of the movie, the director has partially revealed the real identity of the characters shown in the movie. As such the claim that it is based on true events seems to be (at least partially) correct. This is a no-nonsense movie, without any frills or camouflage, showing extreme cruelty inflicted upon the innocent Hindu and Christian teenage girls who are in the biological age to get attracted towards handsome and smart boys brainwashed by the fanatic Islamic terror organizations. The boys have all the evil intentions to convert and recruit the girls in terror organizations either as suicide bombers or sex slaves. The girls are trapped in the love angle and are smartly induced to have physical relationship with the boy and compelled to marry him but not before getting converted to Islam. The real face of the boy is exposed only after the marriage. The girls having snapped all the ropes of going back are then transferred to extremist Islamic states such as Syria, Afghanistan. There they are tortured beyond imagination to be the targets of these organizations. The movie has been passed by the board of film censors as for Adult only movie. The question is should the movie have shown the extreme cruelty that is faced by these girls? It is for everybody to seek the answer to this question. However, remember, the movies are made on the serial killers and are applauded. The movies are made on terrorist attacks. Being an atheist may be all right. One may not believe his God but that does not stop other believers in luring him/her by offering false promises. 'Raid', 130 minute long Hindi Movie. Based on true events it is absorbing story of the obstructions faced by honest Income Tax officer while conducting IT raid on a corrupt politician's house. Ajay Devgn as officer and Surabh Shukla as corrupt politician are superb.Another noteworthy character in the film is 85 years old (name not known) female artist who plays the role of the mother of the politician.
