I very much recommend this series. The character arc of the FL is engaging and feels organic. All the female characters are interesting (in many cases, more than the MLs). Worth every moment of your time.
I want to address the end…so ****spoiler****. This was not a romance or a romcom. This was the story of a woman who gives herself a second chance at life while not negating the first life (she did love her family even when they were selfish gits). There were some viewers who were disappointed that she does not end up with Dr. Roy. I was not one of them. There might have even been some who wished she would have ended up back with her husband (again, I wasn’t one of them). And while we wished evil doers would be punished this was not that simplistic. This kind of thing happens all the time (mistress with children by cheating husband)…not saying it’s a “good” thing…but that is life. So they remain incredibly successful in their world (shrug…and why should the children be punished because of the behavior of their parents…as was pointed out by the FL to FL2).
The real choice the writers had at the end was whether FL would live or would die (and it could have gone either way). They choose that she should live and appreciate every moment of life and the beauty of the life that surrounds us offers. It was not necessary for her to have a romance. Living and giving had become her life.
