It's a funny and heartwarming movie. The acting is really solid and all the actors give great performances. I don't really care if it's a worse remake of some French film, I sat down to watch The Upside and I loved it, and that's all that matters to me. It's not a high concept abstract exploration of some philosophical concept, but it resonated with me, which is the highest goal any art can reach. Can be cliche here or there but definitely worth a watch.
