I love this competition show but I have made an observation - the location of the homes seems to have a major influence on who is eventually the winner. Note: Season 1 the homes were in California and Jasmine Roth wins - the only designer from California; Season 2 the homes were in the greater Atlanta area and The Kleindschmidts were the only southerners in the competition; Season 3 the homes are in South Carolina and at this point (4 weeks in) The Marrs' (from Arkansas) have 2 wins and Egypt & Mike (from Atlanta) have 1 win. Leslie & Lyndsey do have a win but it was "very close" according to the judges who said Egypt & Mike were almost chosen. We'll see how it plays out for the rest of the season, but so far regional designers appear to have an advantage in understanding what really adds value in their part of the country. Thanks for allowing me to put this idea out there for discussion.
