Shan Wu

The plot was so unrecognizable and the exposition was so heavy I thought I was watching fan-fiction. The background characters has less development than background scenery. The newly introduced magic system adds nothing to the story and makes no sense. Sometimes the witch can transform, sometimes has super strength but mostly has the power of exposition. Mulan's suppose to have the same kind of power as her but for some reason is only good at soccer. As of this post, it's sitting at 5.5 on rotten tomatoes and 5.6 on IMDB. I have seen movies twice as good (which is still not good) get eviscerated on rotten tomatoes but this one's got a 75% fresh rating. There is not enough ethylene gas in the world to justify that.
