I've always been a fan of the books, and now this series feels like a breath of fresh air, beautifully reviving the story. The actors, set design, storytelling, pacing, and the conclusion of season 2, which tied up the relationship between Lestat and Louis, were all amazing!

I am little disappointed with the story of the movie itself rather than with the theme and the animation. As always studio ghibli movies are a visual treat to watch with beautiful backgrounds, animation and music however The boy and Herron really fell short on the story telling. It was like the studio expected us to already be familiar with the story and the plot before we even watched the movie. At the end we are left to wonder what in the world the movie was about, why did certain events happen the way it happened, and what was overarching message the movie was trying convey. There is a fine line between being ambiguous about finer details of story to make the audience talk about the movie for years, and really bad story telling.

This is an anime that you will enjoy immensely if you don't take it too seriously because it most certainly doesn't . Its light hearted, fun and with an easy to follow plot. The manga is better of course but the Anime is definitely worth the watch.

Very pleasantly surprised with how good this show turned out.
