Brahmastra could’ve been a milestone in Indian cinema if the word pyaar and its synonyms were deleted from the script. An opportunity wasted. They tried to show us an Astraverse with a romantic story, but the romance was too cliche, amateurish and mostly misplaced. I was a little skeptical about the visuals after watching the trailer. But tbh, the vfx, 3D was top notch (may be one of the best in Indian cinema). The concept was great, but the screenplays was the biggest let down. I’m ok with certain “inspirations” from x men, Luke skywalker- Darth vader (iykyk) etc though felt like could’ve adapted better. But the dialogues.?! Felt like too much spoon feeding and some even felt cringe. The same man who wrote “Main udna chahta hoon, daudna chahta hoon, girna bhi chahta hoon.,bus rukna nahi chahta “ 10 years later came up with “ Brahmastra ek pizza jaisi hei”..! I’m really disappointed Ayan. Casting was good, especially the cameos of Srk and Nagarjuna. Mouny Roy did justice to her role ( it could’ve been written more rather than the “love storyaan”).
