I loved this film. The silence of the main character makes it all the more powerful. I did think it was an allegory but wasnt sure of what. The explanation found on the internet that it is a man preparing for death sounds believable. There was plenty of room for freedom for imagination to roam. This and the fact that it is filmed in the area of France,, my beloved birthplace, where i spent my early life makes it a pearl to be cherished. I'll watch it again, more than once probably.
